Start them young, he was about 3 and very capable.
One poor chap came off and broke his handlebars as he fell onto them!
Doug and Adrian before the race
Doug entered in the Junior Downhill 18 and under in Kent Ridge Park, a course built through the jungle. He had 2 hours to practice the course on saturday morning, which he did with Adrain who is 12 and sponsored. They really enjoyed their practice. Sunday was the race and they had 2 goes at getting down, timed. Doug caught up with people in front on his first go and couldn't get past them. On the second go he fell off just after the first lot of rocks, but had a fast time. He came 4th and a few seconds quicker Adrian came 3rd.
