Long Weekend in Phuket 4-7th Nov

cocktails

Having just arrived and seen our lovely villa it was time for a spot of lunch on one of the beaches close by - delish and look at the size of my prawn!

The Villa was fantastic with a beautiful deep dark blue pool surrounded by rooms each with a bathroom. A huge western kitchen and a lovely private garden

Missing Bonfire Night, Deepavali celebrations and more to the point Rugby 7's played on the Padang - Singapore Cricket Club, Douglas could have been playing for the U16 - but as it was a bank holiday weekend, we decided to use our fund raising prize we bought at the Year 11 Cambodian Curry Auction - 3 nights, 4 days in a luxurious villa in Laguna on Phuket, Thailand Archie had just got a SLAP tear on his left shoulder on 3rd November so wasn't able to use his arm well!

Rugby Clinic with David Campezee 1.11.2010

David Campezee came for a traiing session at Centaurs rugby andn Doug and Archie enjoyed a couple of hours of instruction from him, along with an autograph on Doug's NZ rugby shirt

The Indonesian Haze & other things

The PSI wasn't high enough to stop play, Archie and his schoolmates won their 3 matches against the Lycee, Australian school and Overseas Family School. They look like Dr Seuss - Cat in the Hat with their stripey legs!

Indonesia have been burning jungle and the smoke has wafted N,N/E and Singapore is enveloped in a smelly haze. Its worse in the afternoon/evening and makes your eyes and skin itchy

Not much to see in the distance, no ships or buildings to be seen from the plane, and no background buildings either - a little like a bonfire when the garden is smoked out!

The Polo Field, very smelly, heavy air with poor visibility
