Mud, glorious Singaporean mud

Sunday Rugby at Tanglin Rugby club which takes place at Turf City

Doug and Archie meet up with their cousins Will 10 and Wilder 12 (Chase who is 9 doesn't do Rugby). Uncle Bobby (Keith - Niall's brother, coaches the U11)

Boy does it get muddy, especially if it has rained.

Sadly Doug and Archie's Trojans rugby kit has gone travelling in the faulty washing machine that we inherited. It may be on a rubbish dump somewhere in Malaysia, or two little boys will be wearing it! The machine was replaced and the dirty washing was in it!! Thank goodness for West Hill Park kit, which we brought with us.

kids off to school

The kids seem very happy at Tanglin Trust School - I took them in on day one, then they have been collected by Bus 44 every morning from the bottom of the drive at 7.20am. The bus returns them at 3.10 in the afternoon.

Activities start this week, so they will all finish later, sometimes in time to catch the 4pm bus, or if they are later then I can collect them. Its 15 minutes in the car.

Thank goodness Niall chose another XC90 - its great for visibility, comfort, torrential rain, and with the aircon, sat nav and parking beepers and reversing camera, its still in one piece. I have had to park it in some very confined car parks.

Jet is loving being with us, and enjoys her walks along the Malaysian railway line, or down to a large green field called Holland Plain. She seems quite adjusted to the heat.

who ever said kids need toys - boxes are the best.

We brought beds, bedding, kitchen things, pictures, books etc, but only a solitary little card table for downstairs.
Supper tasted really good whilst sitting on the packing boxes, until they imploded!
A trip to Ikea was needed for hasty supplies of necessities.

We have arrived - 2nd September and on....

Just need to download some photos, but our computer is up and running now: 13th Sept!
We are no longer sitting around the card table on cardboard packing boxes, and we have a sofa too!

Kids have settled into school, been there for a week, and even been on the school bus from the driveway.

Jet is very happy and enjoys her walks along the Malaysian railway line, and also on Holland Plain where she can run free.

Photos to follow shortly
