Visiting China Town where the Sri Mariamman Temple was celebrating Deepavali - everything in the temple had been decorated with beautiful cloth for the festival. Sampling indian food from the market, placed on banana leaves.
Visiting the Chinese Wet Market and seeing the array of colours in vegetables, fruit, meat and seafood - black chickens fascinated Vicki and Mark found an industrial sized blender.
The Chinese Heritage Centre was full of great photos and easy facts and then a complete shophouse depicting how life and living used to be.
We then had lunch in a Tea House, where Mark prepared chinese tea and we had deicious fresh dim sum - yum!
Going to a Tea House for lunch - with the ritual of making chinese tea and eating it with delicioiuis Tim Sum (Dim sum to us).
